About Us The National Group was founded in January 2002, by bringing together a group of government relations professionals with varied and long-time Washington experience. It was the vision of the founding partners to establish a small lobbying firm that would be dedicated to the principle that the partners of the firm would lead all client service efforts in order to provide the highest quality service to clients. Each of the founding partners had previous experience working with the largest lobbying firms and organizations in Washington and left those firms because of concerns that clients were not receiving the level of service they deserved. Within its first two years of existence, The National Group has made a mark as one of the most effective and successful lobbying firms in Washington. Influence On-Line, a Washington-based lobbying industry journal, identified The National Group as 'notable' and a 'lobbying firm to watch' in Washington. The firm's work on behalf of its clients has been highlighted in the Congressional Quarterly and various newspapers. The firm has attracted Fortune 500 corporate clients ranging from Delta Airlines to Eastman Kodak to Equifax, is retained by states, municipalities and U.S. territories, and also provides counsel to a group of some of the largest research universities in the nation.
